Happy Tails

Every dog that finds a forever home is proof that second chances change lives -- for the dog and the family.

These are the moments we do this for.

Behind every adoption is a dog who was scared, lost, or abandoned -- and a family whose life was about to change forever. Our foster-based model means we know each dog's story intimately. When we match them with their forever family, we know it is right. These are some of those stories.

Bella

Adopted by The Martinez Family

When the Martinez family visited Bella's foster home in Myrtle Beach, they were not sure they were ready for a dog. But the moment Bella put her paw on their youngest son's knee, everything changed. Her foster mom told them all about Bella's personality, her favorite games, and her quirky habit of bringing her toys to the door. Three months later, Bella is thriving in her forever home and has become the family's biggest adventure buddy. That is the beauty of foster-based rescue -- you really get to know the dog before they come home.

Duke

Adopted by Sarah & Tom

Duke was surrendered after his elderly owner could no longer care for him. At 7 years old, we worried he might wait a long time for a home. His foster family in North Myrtle Beach loved him but knew his perfect match was out there. Sarah and Tom met him at an adoption event and saw past his gray muzzle, falling in love with his gentle spirit. Duke now spends his golden years being spoiled rotten, with daily walks to the beach and his own spot on the couch. Second chances really do change lives.

Maggie

Adopted by The Andersons

Maggie came to Tidal Paws as a scared, underweight Boxer mix pulled from an overcrowded shelter. After two months in her foster home near Conway, she transformed into a confident, tail-wagging lovebug. The Andersons adopted her after meeting her at Boxerpalooza and say she has brought so much joy into their home. Maggie now has a big yard, a doggy sibling, and a family that adores her. We are so grateful to our foster family and the Andersons for giving Maggie the second chance she deserved.
